Piranha propellers centre hub uses a high grade 6061 T6 extruded aluminium core encapsulated in Verton. We have a lifetime warranty on the hub. A Piranha propeller hub does not have a rubber bushing because the easily replaceable blades are designed to absorb the impact, not the propeller hub. Because the hub is one solid piece you will never again have to deal with spun propeller hubs since there is no rubber bushing to age and fail.
The blades are manufactured from Verton and slide into the slots in the hub. The slots and blades have a 1 degree taper built in to prevent you from accidentally inserting the blades backward, they only go in one way. There is one mould for each of our different blade styles. For example, every 1419A blade will come from the same mould, making every 1419A blade identical in size, shape and weight.

As you can see, the performance levels when compared to a Stainless Steel propeller are very similar, now consider the replacement or repair cost. Our most expensive combination is a four blade propeller for a 280 HP motor that will cost you than $440 delivered to your door. That is the complete package, simply open it and follow the installation directions and you will be ready for the water.
